Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched scathing attacks on the INDIA bloc and Congress during his rallies in Gurdaspur and Jalandhar, accusing them of creating instability in Punjab. He blamed Congress for patronizing perpetrators of anti-Sikh riots and sacking former Punjab CM Capt Amarinder Singh. Modi also criticized Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann, alleging that efforts were being made to run Punjab with remote control from Delhi. He mocked AAP and Congress as photocopies of each other, highlighting AAP’s failure to curb drug menace in Punjab.

Modi emphasized his government’s commitment to Punjab’s development, citing ongoing infrastructure projects like the Delhi-Katra expressway. He outlined steps taken for the Sikh community’s benefit, including tax exemptions for langar materials and relaxing foreign donation norms for the Golden Temple. Additionally, he announced a scheme for free medical treatment to senior citizens above 70 if his government is voted to power.

Addressing the Ram Mandir inauguration boycott, Modi hailed the Sikh community’s contribution and warned against threats to Punjab’s identity by INDIA bloc leaders. He sought blessings for his third term and reminisced about his association with Punjab leaders like Vinod Khanna and Hans Raj Hans. Modi’s remarks aimed to rally support for BJP candidates in Punjab, emphasizing his government’s proactive measures and promising continued focus on the state’s progress.
