Triptii Dimri Discusses Impact of Intimate Scene with Ranbir Kapoor in “Animal” and Parental Reaction
Triptii Dimri, renowned for her role in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s film “Animal,” has opened up about the repercussions of the intimate scene with co-star Ranbir Kapoor. In an interview with Vogue India, Triptii candidly revealed that the scene left her parents “completely rattled,” necessitating a lengthy discussion to convey the scene’s artistic importance.
Despite the potential discomfort for her family, Triptii defended her decision to undertake the role, emphasizing the need for actors to choose roles that push them out of their comfort zones. She stressed the significance of following instinct and personal artistic goals rather than succumbing to external pressures or audience expectations.
Regarding the intimate scene in “Animal,” Triptii disclosed that she and Ranbir Kapoor were diligent about creating a comfortable environment on set. The crew limited the number of individuals present during the scene, closed monitors, and constantly checked on Triptii’s well-being. This approach aimed to prioritize the actor’s comfort and sensitivity during the filming process.
“Animal,” released on December 1, faced scrutiny from the Central Board of Film Certification, resulting in suggestions for eight cuts, including modifications to the intimate sequence involving Triptii and Ranbir Kapoor. The film, featuring Anil Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, and Bobby Deol, resonated well with audiences, achieving success at the box office across multiple language releases.
