Netflix has dropped the much-anticipated trailer for its upcoming original film, “Bhakshak,” featuring the talented Bhumi Pednekar in the lead role of Vaishali Singh, an investigative journalist on a mission to expose the harrowing truth behind crimes against minor girls. Directed by Pulkit, the film is set to premiere exclusively on Netflix on February 9.
“Bhakshak” draws inspiration from real-life events, specifically the Muzaffarpur Women’s Shelter Case, where Brajesh Thakur and others were sentenced for heinous crimes against young girls. The trailer hints at a powerful narrative, with Aditya Srivastava portraying a corrupt figure orchestrating the assaults, Sanjay Mishra as the dedicated cameraman, and Sai Tamhankar as a determined police officer.
