Simran Singh, widely known as RJ Simran and a beloved voice from Jammu and Kashmir, tragically passed away at the age of 25. The freelance radio jockey and social media influencer was found dead in her rented apartment in Gurugram’s Sector 47.
Police confirmed the incident and stated that a friend staying with her alerted authorities. Despite being rushed to the hospital, she was declared dead upon arrival. While no suicide note was found, her family indicated that Simran had been upset for some time and believed she may have taken her own life. They emphasized that she did not hold anyone responsible for her actions.
Simran Singh was a celebrated personality, earning the affection of nearly 700,000 followers on Instagram, where she was fondly called “Jammu Ki Dhadkan” (Heartbeat of Jammu). Her vibrant reels and engaging radio segments made her a cherished figure among her fans. Her last Instagram reel, posted on December 13, is now a poignant reminder of her creativity and charm.
The police have handed over her body to the family, and no complaints have been filed.
