Mossad Allegedly Planted Explosives in Hezbollah’s Pagers, Reports Claim.
  • PublishedSeptember 18, 2024

In a series of shocking revelations, reports have surfaced that Israel’s Mossad planted explosives inside 5,000 Taiwan-made pagers ordered by the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah. The pagers, used as a low-tech communication method by Hezbollah, were reportedly smuggled into Lebanon months before mass detonations that took place on Tuesday, resulting in nine deaths and nearly 3,000 injuries across Lebanon and Syria.

Citing senior Lebanese security sources, the reports suggest that Mossad covertly injected small explosive devices within the pagers. These explosives were allegedly triggered remotely by a coded message, causing synchronized blasts across Hezbollah-controlled areas. The devices were manufactured by Taiwan-based company Gold Apollo, with the model identified as AP924.

According to reports from various news agencies, the explosives, believed to be PETN, were embedded within the pagers’ batteries. Mossad is accused of activating these explosives by remotely heating the batteries. The attack marks a sophisticated and long-planned operation aimed at Hezbollah, which has been using pagers to avoid Israeli tracking.

Hezbollah has condemned the attack and vowed retaliation against Israel. Lebanese Information Minister Ziad Makary also labeled the incident as “Israeli aggression,” though Israeli authorities have yet to comment on the accusations. This incident follows a history of similar tactics allegedly employed by Israel in past conflicts.

Investigations into the explosions are ongoing.
