Tamil Actor Suriya in Talks to Play Villain in Dhoom 4: Reports
Tamil actor Suriya is reportedly in discussions to play the antagonist in the highly anticipated Bollywood film Dhoom 4. While the official announcement is still awaited, this marks a potential major entry for Suriya into the Dhoom franchise. According to sources, Yash Raj Films (YRF) is planning to revive the successful action series, with Dhoom 4 currently in the early stages of planning. However, the lead cast and crew are yet to be confirmed.
If Suriya agrees to join the project, this will be his second Hindi film appearance. His first Bollywood role was a cameo in Sarfira, a film starring Akshay Kumar and directed by Sudha Kongara Prasad. Suriya’s full-fledged Bollywood debut will be in an untitled film directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, for which an official announcement is still pending.
The excitement surrounding Dhoom 4 has been building for months, with fans eagerly awaiting a confirmation. Reports suggest that YRF’s Aditya Chopra, along with Ayan Mukerji, Vijay Krishna Acharya, and Sridhar Raghavan, are working on the project’s development.
In a 2023 interview, actor Abhishek Bachchan addressed rumors about Dhoom 4, stating that if it were in production, he would have been informed by Aditya Chopra.
Suriya’s next major release will be the Tamil film Kanguva, directed by Siva, which is set to hit theatres later this year. The official release date for Kanguva will be announced soon.
