Apple Inc. today launched its highly anticipated iPhone 16 series at the “It’s Glowtime” event. The new lineup includes four models: iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max, each designed to push the boundaries of mobile technology.
The iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max models, equipped with the powerful A18 Pro chip, boast the largest displays ever on an Apple device—6.3 inches for the Pro and 6.9 inches for the Pro Max. These models feature the latest Always-On 120Hz ProMotion display technology and ultra-thin borders, setting a new standard in design and performance.
The series introduces AI-enhanced functionality powered by Apple’s cutting-edge neural engine, capable of 35 trillion operations per second. The iPhone 16’s advanced camera system includes a 48MP Fusion camera with 2x optical zoom and a 12MP ultra-wide lens, enabling macro photography and 4K120 video capture.
New features like the Action Button and Camera Control enhance user interaction, while the vertical camera layout on the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus is optimized for spatial video capture.
Available in five stunning colors—black, white, pink, teal, and ultramarine—the iPhone 16 series will be available for pre-order starting September 13, with general availability beginning September 20. Pricing starts at ₹79,900 ($799) for the iPhone 16 and ₹1,19,900 ($1,199) for the Pro Max.
