Akshay Kumar’s Cameo in ‘Stree 2’ Delights Fans, Says Director Amar Kaushik

Acclaimed director Amar Kaushik recently opened up about Akshay Kumar’s much-talked-about cameo in the highly anticipated horror-comedy, Stree 2. The cameo, which features Akshay alongside Abhishek Banerjee, has already generated significant buzz on social media.

In a recent interview with Connect Cine, Amar Kaushik shared his excitement about working with Akshay on this special scene. The director revealed that he pitched the idea to Akshay during the shoot of their other film, Sky Force, and the actor was immediately on board. “Akshay Sir was incredibly enthusiastic and brought an amazing energy to the set,” Kaushik said.

Kaushik also highlighted how Akshay’s involvement elevated the scene, with the actor delivering multiple takes and adding his unique flair. “He wanted to try different versions of the scene, and watching him was such a joy. Both Akshay and Abhishek Banerjee improvised brilliantly, making the scene even more memorable. The way they interacted and added lines on the spot made us all burst into laughter.”

Stree 2, a sequel to the 2018 blockbuster Stree, stars Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor in the lead roles, with Pankaj Tripathi and Aparshakti Khurrana playing pivotal roles. The film continues the story of a town haunted by the legendary ghost Sarkata and is a part of Maddock Films’ expanding supernatural universe, which includes other titles like Bhediya and Munjya.
