Apple Set to Enter the Foldable Device Market in 2026
In an exciting development for tech enthusiasts, Apple is expected to launch its first foldable devices in 2026. According to a recent report by GSMArena, Apple is gearing up to release not just one but two innovative foldable devices.
The first of these groundbreaking devices will be a flip-style foldable iPhone, marking Apple’s entry into the competitive foldable smartphone market. The second is an iPad/MacBook hybrid featuring an 18.8-inch internal display. Renowned Apple analyst Jeff Pu has indicated that the hybrid model will precede the foldable iPhone, with a launch anticipated in the second quarter of 2026. The foldable iPhone is expected to debut by the end of the same year, potentially alongside the iPhone 18 series. However, market availability for these devices might extend to the year’s end.
Although specific details remain under wraps, reports suggest that Apple is on schedule, having secured a supply contract for the foldable iPhone panels. Additionally, Apple has engaged with suppliers in Asia to produce components for these devices, signaling serious commitment to this new venture. The foldable iPhone project, internally code-named V68, is expected to integrate advanced artificial intelligence features, enhancing user experience and functionality.
