Israel’s President Isaac Herzog expressed eagerness to work with Starmer on regional issues and praised outgoing PM Rishi Sunak for his support during difficult times. Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskiy emphasized the UK and Ukraine’s strong alliance and thanked Sunak for his assistance against Russia.

Estonia’s Kaja Kallas, likely to become the EU’s top diplomat, underscored the importance of shared security. European Council President Charles Michel highlighted cooperation on stability, security, energy, and migration. French President Emmanuel Macron looked forward to continued bilateral cooperation, while Ireland’s Simon Harris stressed the significance of UK-Ireland relations.
