‘India’s Got Latent’ Row: NCW Reschedules YouTubers’ Hearing After No-Show
  • PublishedFebruary 17, 2025

The National Commission for Women (NCW) has rescheduled hearings for YouTubers embroiled in the India’s Got Latent controversy after they failed to appear on February 17. The accused, including Ranveer Allahbadia, Samay Raina, Apoorva Mukhija, Ashish Chanchlani, and others, will now face hearings on March 6 and 11.

Allahbadia and Mukhija cited safety concerns and requested virtual hearings, while Raina and Jaspreet Singh were abroad. Chanchlani’s lawyer cited illness. However, Tushar Poojari and Saurabh Bothra ignored the summons, prompting a resummon.

The controversy arose after Allahbadia asked a contestant a question on parents and sex, sparking outrage. Following backlash, Allahbadia and Raina apologized, and India’s Got Latent videos were removed from YouTube. Legal cases have been filed against the group across India.
