Stabbed in the Night: Saif Ali Khan Survives Harrowing Intrusion in Bandra Home
In a shocking incident, Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was reportedly stabbed multiple times in his upscale Bandra apartment in the early hours of Thursday. Mumbai Police have detained a suspect, bringing him to the Bandra Police Station for questioning, as per reports from ANI and PTI. However, no official arrests have been made yet.
The attack occurred around 2 am when an intruder, allegedly attempting burglary, entered Khan’s 12th-floor residence in the ‘Satguru Sharan’ building. The entire family, including Khan’s wife, Kareena Kapoor, and their two young sons, Jeh and Taimur, were home during the incident, along with five house helps.
CCTV footage revealed a man in a brown T-shirt with a red scarf fleeing the scene. The attacker, armed with a wooden stick and a long Hexa blade, reportedly demanded ₹1 crore from Jeh’s nanny before launching the assault. Khan sustained six stab injuries, one causing significant damage to his thoracic spinal cord. Emergency surgery at Lilavati Hospital successfully removed a 2.5-inch knife and repaired the actor’s leaking spinal fluid.
Kareena Kapoor, escorted by police, rushed to the hospital post-surgery, where Khan was declared out of danger and moved to the ICU for recovery. This alarming event raises questions about the need for enhanced security measures for celebrities.
