Kangana Ranaut Offers Karan Johar a Role in Her Film: “I’ll Give Him a Proper Part”
Actor and Member of Parliament Kangana Ranaut recently sparked intrigue with her statement about casting filmmaker Karan Johar in one of her films. During an appearance on the musical reality show Indian Idol 15 to promote her upcoming movie Emergency, Kangana responded to a question about working with Dharma Productions by suggesting that Karan Johar should work with her instead.
“Karan sir ko mere saath movie karna chahiye (should do a movie with me). I’ll give him a very good role and make a proper film, not just a PR exercise or saas-bahu drama,” Kangana remarked. Known for her candid nature, Kangana’s remarks reignite interest in her much-publicized feud with Johar, dating back to her infamous “flagbearer of nepotism” comment on Koffee with Karan.
Kangana was on Indian Idol 15 to promote Emergency, her ambitious project where she portrays India’s first female Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi. Directed and produced by Kangana, Emergency is set against the 1975 state of emergency and delves into one of India’s most politically charged eras. The film features an ensemble cast, including Anupam Kher and Shreyas Talpade in pivotal roles.
While her offer to Karan Johar is sure to create buzz, Kangana remains focused on her upcoming release, which promises a gripping narrative of power, politics, and resilience. Emergency is set to hit theaters soon, further cementing Kangana’s reputation as a trailblazer in Indian cinema.
