Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez Finalize Divorce After Two-Year Marriage
Hollywood stars Ben Affleck, 52, and Jennifer Lopez, 55, have officially finalized their divorce, 20 weeks after Lopez filed citing irreconcilable differences. Despite rumours of reconciliation, the former couple remains focused on co-parenting their children and maintaining their happiness.
Affleck and Lopez, famously dubbed “Bennifer,” first dated in the early 2000s and were briefly engaged before parting ways in 2004. They rekindled their romance in 2021, marrying in a lavish ceremony in Georgia in August 2022. However, their two-year marriage ended when Lopez filed for divorce in August 2024. The court granted her request to restore her name to Jennifer Lynn Lopez.
Lopez shares 16-year-old twins, Max and Emme, with ex-husband Marc Anthony. Affleck, previously married to Jennifer Garner, shares three children—Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12—with Garner.
The former couple continues to prioritize their children, ensuring they spend quality time together. A source close to them clarified, “Ben and Jennifer facilitate meetups for their kids and focus on co-parenting. They are not reconciling but remain committed to their children’s happiness.”
Lopez and Affleck last appeared together in films like Gigli (2003) and Jersey Girl (2004). The end of their high-profile relationship marks a new chapter for both stars as they move forward individually while prioritizing family bonds.
