CCTV Captures Bomb Attack Outside Rapper Badshah’s Club in Chandigarh.
Chandigarh witnessed a shocking incident on Monday night as two crude bombs were thrown outside two clubs in Sector 26, including Seville Bar and Lounge, co-owned by popular rapper and singer Badshah. The other targeted club was De Orra. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
CCTV footage shows an unidentified man hurling what appears to be crude bombs at the clubs before fleeing the scene. The explosions caused significant damage, shattering window panes and sparking alarm among residents and patrons.
Chandigarh police, led by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), immediately rushed to the scene to assess the situation. Initial investigations point to a potential extortion attempt, but authorities are also probing other angles, including a possible dispute among business partners of the clubs.
Badshah, who launched Seville Bar and Lounge in December 2023, also co-owns two other establishments in Chandigarh – Sago Spicy Symphony and Sidera. The 39-year-old rapper, known for his chart-topping hits in Hindi, Punjabi, Haryanvi, and English, has lent his voice to popular Bollywood films like Kapoor and Sons and Crew.
While the incident has raised safety concerns, Chandigarh police assured the public of a thorough investigation to identify the culprits and prevent future such occurrences. The clubs have temporarily suspended operations as authorities continue their inquiry.
