Actor Arjun Kapoor, known for his powerful comeback in Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again where he played the role of Danger Lanka, recently shared a candid glimpse into his mental health journey. In a conversation with India Today Digital, Kapoor opened up about the challenges he faced while filming, revealing the complexities and dedication involved in mental health healing.

Kapoor explained that his mental health struggles didn’t just impact his professional life; they affected his daily experiences and well-being. Reflecting on his journey, he said, “When you’re dealing with mental health issues, you need to understand why it’s happening. I suddenly started experiencing overthinking, lack of motivation, and disinterest in routine activities. But I didn’t isolate myself—I reached out to family, friends, and a therapist.”

Acknowledging the slow and sometimes difficult process, Kapoor emphasized that mental health improvement isn’t an overnight fix. “It’s not as simple as taking a pill. It’s a slow journey where you have to rebuild yourself, talk about it, and accept that some days are harder than others,” he said.

As a public figure, balancing his struggles with the demands of his profession was challenging. Yet, he’s determined to continue his journey, reminding others that it’s okay to ask for help and take time to heal.

Kapoor has an exciting slate ahead, with the No Entry sequel in the works. His openness is a significant step in reducing stigma around mental health, serving as a reminder that healing is an ongoing, courageous journey.
