Vidya Balan Returns to the Bhool Bhulaiyaa Franchise After 17 Years, Expresses Excitement at Trailer Launch.
Actor Vidya Balan, renowned for her iconic role as Manjulika in the original Bhool Bhulaiyaa, is back in the franchise after 17 years. At the trailer launch of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 in Jaipur, Vidya shared her excitement and gratitude for returning to the beloved series.
Speaking at the event, Vidya said, “I would possess Bhushan Kumar (laughs). Thank you for bringing this role back to me. I have come back to the franchise after 17 years, and I am really happy about that. Bhool Bhulaiyaa earned me a lot of love, and here’s hoping part 3 does the same for the next 17 years.”
She fondly recalled the significance of Jaipur in the franchise, noting that both Bhool Bhulaiyaa and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 were shot in the city. She humorously added, “Please make sure you reach the cinemas on November 1 to watch the movie, otherwise Manjulika will come to haunt you (laughs).”
Directed by Anees Bazmee, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 boasts an impressive ensemble cast, including Kartik Aaryan, Triptii Dimri, Madhuri Dixit, and Rajpal Yadav. The film promises to bring back the magic of the franchise with its signature blend of horror and comedy.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is set to release in theatres on November 1, 2024, just in time for Diwali.
