Apple is set to roll out iOS 18.1 on October 28, 2024, featuring the highly anticipated debut of Apple Intelligence, marking a new era in artificial intelligence for iPhone users. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, iOS 18.1 will bring the first wave of Apple Intelligence features, available on the iPhone 16 series and select high-end models like the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max.
Among the key features launching this month are AI-powered writing tools, which will proofread texts, enhance grammar, and adjust tone with options like Friendly, Professional, and Concise. Additionally, users will be able to create Memory Movies in the Photos app simply by describing the content they want, while the Clean Up tool offers an easy way to remove unwanted elements from images.
Apple is also introducing a redesigned Siri UI, providing an enhanced user interface with lighting effects that span across the screen. This update will further evolve with future releases.
The Priority Notification feature will allow Apple Intelligence to analyze and prioritize important notifications, integrating seamlessly with Focus Modes to minimize disruptions.
The full Apple Intelligence suite will roll out gradually, with iOS 18.2 scheduled for December, introducing ChatGPT integration and other innovative features, and more updates arriving in 2025.
