Prime Minister Narendra Modi has departed for a three-day visit to the United States, where he will participate in the fourth Quad Leaders’ Summit hosted by President Joe Biden in Wilmington, Delaware on September 21. The Quad, comprising India, the US, Japan, and Australia, plays a pivotal role in promoting peace and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific region.

The Prime Minister will also address the ‘Summit of the Future’ at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York on September 23, where global issues like emerging technologies, cancer research, and security will be highlighted. PM Modi is expected to hold several bilateral meetings with key world leaders during the visit.

In a statement ahead of his visit, Prime Minister Modi said, “I look forward to joining President Biden, Prime Minister Albanese, and Prime Minister Kishida at the Quad Summit. Our discussions will focus on strengthening partnerships for the benefit of our people and the global good.”

Additionally, PM Modi will meet with the Indian diaspora and leading American CEOs on September 22, fostering collaboration in AI, quantum computing, semiconductors, and biotechnology.

The visit underscores the growing partnership between India and the US, as well as the Quad’s commitment to regional stability and cooperation.
