Kareena Kapoor Khan’s ‘The Buckingham Murders’ Completes a Slow First Week at Box Office.
Hansal Mehta’s crime thriller The Buckingham Murders, starring Kareena Kapoor Khan in the lead, wrapped up its first week at the box office with a total collection of Rs 7.53 crore nett in India. Despite positive reviews and word-of-mouth, the film struggled to gain momentum, collecting Rs 23 lakh on its first Thursday.
Released in English across India, The Buckingham Murders caters to a niche audience, showcasing Kareena Kapoor Khan in a de-glam role as a cop investigating serial murders in the UK. The film, which marks Kareena’s debut as a producer, has been appreciated for its gripping narrative but faces tough competition from Stree 2, a horror-comedy that has surpassed Rs 500 crore in domestic earnings.

The film is expected to cross Rs 10 crore by the end of its second weekend. However, with the release of Yudhra, starring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Malavika Mohanan, Kareena’s film will face stiff competition.
