Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Pleads Not Guilty to Sex Trafficking Charges, Held Without Bail.
  • PublishedSeptember 18, 2024

Sean “Diddy” Combs, renowned music mogul and founder of Bad Boy Records, was taken into custody following his plea of not guilty to federal charges of racketeering, sex trafficking by force, and transportation for prostitution. The indictment alleges Combs orchestrated a criminal enterprise involving coercive sexual acts, including the infamous “Freak Offs,” since 2008.

Combs, 54, appeared in court and stood by his innocence, as U.S. Magistrate Judge Robyn Tarnofsky denied him bail. His defense attorney, Marc Agnifilo, maintained Combs’ innocence, stating, “Mr. Combs is a fighter. He’s innocent and will fight these charges to the end.” The attorney plans to appeal the bail decision, contending the case centers around a consensual, long-term relationship, reportedly involving R&B singer Cassie.

Prosecutors, however, allege a far more sinister narrative, claiming Combs used physical force, drugs, and blackmail to facilitate sexual crimes and silence victims. Assistant U.S. Attorney Emily Johnson described Combs as “a serial abuser and a serial obstructor.” Over 50 victims and witnesses have come forward, with evidence including videos and electronic data.

If convicted, Combs faces a minimum of 15 years in prison, with the potential for life. The case continues to evolve as authorities collect further evidence against the high-profile defendant.
