Manish Sisodia to Meet Arvind Kejriwal Amid Delhi CM Speculation.
AAP leader Manish Sisodia is scheduled to meet Arvind Kejriwal at his residence today as discussions surrounding the next Chief Minister of Delhi gather momentum. This meeting comes after Kejriwal’s recent announcement of his intent to resign from the Chief Minister’s post, following his release from Tihar Jail last week.
Kejriwal, who addressed party members and supporters on Sunday, stated his intention to step down, declaring that he would not return to the Chief Minister’s chair until he receives a clear mandate from the people. He emphasized that a legislative party meeting would soon take place to decide on his successor. “I will not sit in the Chief Minister’s chair until the people give their verdict,” he said.
Manish Sisodia, who has also expressed his commitment to public approval, posted on X (formerly Twitter), saying that he would return to his role as Deputy Chief Minister only if the public approves his honesty. Sisodia spent 17 months in jail due to the liquor policy case, and he expressed his dedication to honesty and education.
While Kejriwal ruled out Sisodia as his replacement, the AAP chief stressed that the future of both leaders lies in the hands of the people, with elections expected within three to four months.
