Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh is under fire after fans expressed disappointment over the steep ticket prices for his much-anticipated Dil-Luminati India Tour. Social media influencer and comedian Saumya Sahni led the criticism, calling the ₹20,000-₹25,000 price range unaffordable for many of Dosanjh’s core fans.
Sahni shared her frustration on social media, stating, “No Indian artiste should charge such high amounts, especially when many middle-class fans can’t afford it. He should make his concerts more accessible to his Indian audience, considering the economic climate.” She compared ticket prices to international standards, where artists typically charge less, despite the high costs of production.
Following the announcement of the tour dates and presale on September 10, tickets sold out within minutes, sparking mixed reactions online. While the overwhelming demand for the concert highlights Dosanjh’s massive fanbase, many fans took to social media platforms to express disappointment, with some saying they expected more consideration towards Indian fans.
Despite the backlash, the tour remains one of the most awaited events of the year, with fans eagerly anticipating Dosanjh’s live performances across India.
