According to a recent report by Informa Connect Academy, Tesla CEO Elon Musk is poised to become the world’s first trillionaire by 2027. Musk’s fortune, currently valued at $241 billion as per Bloomberg’s billionaire index, has been growing at an astonishing annual rate of over 110%.
Following Musk, Indian industrialist Gautam Adani is projected to become the world’s second trillionaire by 2028. Adani’s wealth, driven by his diverse business empire, has been increasing at an even faster rate of 123% annually.
The report also highlights that other prominent billionaires, including Nvidia founder Jensen Huang, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, and LVMH’s Bernard Arnault, are expected to reach the trillion-dollar mark by 2030.
India’s rapid wealth creation has drawn significant attention, with the combined wealth of the country’s richest individuals surpassing $1 trillion, according to a Fortune India report. Gautam Adani and Mukesh Ambani lead the list with wealth exceeding Rs 10 trillion each.
Additionally, the Hurun India Rich List 2024 reveals that India has been adding a new billionaire every five days throughout 2023, with 1,539 ultra-wealthy individuals amassing fortunes of more than Rs 1,000 crore.
As of now, Bloomberg’s real-time index places Mukesh Ambani as the richest Asian with $111 billion, closely followed by Gautam Adani at $99.6 billion.
