Yogi Adityanath Hits Back at Akhilesh Yadav’s Bulldozer Remark: ‘Tipu Trying to Become Sultan’
A heated exchange has erupted between Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav over the controversial use of bulldozers against alleged criminals in the state. The spat began when Yadav, addressing party workers, vowed that if the SP returns to power in 2027, the state’s bulldozers would be directed towards Gorakhpur, Adityanath’s home constituency.
In a sharp retort, Adityanath dismissed Yadav’s threat, emphasizing that operating a bulldozer requires courage, intellect, and determination—traits he implied Yadav lacks. He remarked, “Not everyone can operate a bulldozer; it takes both heart and mind. Those who bow to rioters cannot stand before a bulldozer.”
Adityanath further took a personal jab at Yadav, referencing his nickname ‘Tipu’ and insinuating that he is now trying to elevate himself to the status of a ‘Sultan’. He criticized the SP’s previous governance, accusing Yadav and his uncle, Shivpal Yadav, of engaging in widespread extortion during their tenure. “There was a competition between uncle and nephew in extorting money, with territories divided between them,” Adityanath claimed.
The Chief Minister also likened the pre-2017 state of Uttar Pradesh to a lawless region, saying, “Man-eating wolves created havoc across districts, similar to the situation before 2017.”
Adityanath made these remarks during an event distributing appointment letters to newly selected government employees.
