Amar Kaushik’s Stree 2 continues to dominate the box office, surpassing expectations with a record-breaking third weekend. The horror-comedy has collected approximately Rs 480 crore nett at the domestic box office after 18 days, achieving the highest third weekend collection ever for a Hindi film in India.
Over the weekend, Stree 2 amassed a remarkable Rs 47 crore nett, with Sunday alone contributing a staggering Rs 22 crore nett. This incredible performance surpasses the third weekend collection of the Hindi version of Baahubali 2, which stood at around Rs 42.50 crore nett. The film’s impressive figures have set a new benchmark in the Hindi film industry.
The box office breakup for Stree 2 after 18 days is as follows:
Week 1: Rs 291.65 crore
Week 2: Rs 141.4 crore
Friday: Rs 8.5 crore
Saturday: Rs 16.5 crore
Sunday: Rs 22 crore
Total: Rs 480.05 crore
Starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, Stree 2 is nearing the coveted Rs 500 crore milestone and is set to reach this mark by the end of its fourth week. The film benefits from minimal competition, especially with the postponement of Kangana Ranaut’s Emergency, originally slated for a September 6 release.
Stree 2 is solidifying its position as one of the year’s biggest hits and continues to attract audiences with its unique blend of horror and comedy.
