Sunny Kumar, an 18-year-old samosa seller from Noida, has achieved an extraordinary feat by scoring 664 out of 720 in the NEET UG 2024 exam. Despite the daily challenges of running a samosa stall to support his family, Sunny’s dedication and hard work have earned him a place in a government medical college.

Sunny’s journey is a testament to resilience and determination. Balancing his studies with his work, Sunny spent hours every evening at his samosa stall while continuing to study late into the night. His passion for medicine was ignited by a curiosity about how small medicines could cure significant diseases, leading him to pursue Biology and prepare for NEET.

Sunny’s story, highlighted by Alakh Pandey, founder of the online coaching platform Physics Wallah, has inspired many across the country. Pandey visited Sunny’s modest rented room, where the walls are covered with study notes, and offered him a scholarship of Rs 6 lakh to cover his medical college tuition fees.

Growing up in a financially unstable household, Sunny faced numerous challenges, including the repeated demolition of his tea shop by authorities. Yet, he persevered, running his samosa stall and prioritizing his education.

Sunny Kumar’s success is not just an academic achievement but a powerful reminder of the potential within each individual to overcome adversity and achieve their dreams. His journey serves as an inspiration to countless others.
