Del Toro, who was in Scotland for the project, revealed that he chose to stay in a hotel room that a producer had vacated due to unsettling experiences. “Odd electrical and physical occurrences scared her into leaving,” del Toro shared. Despite his initial skepticism, the filmmaker soon sensed an “oppressive” atmosphere in the room, prompting him to move to another room to ensure a good night’s rest. “I kept [the room] but am sleeping in another room – I need six hours of sleep to have a good shooting day. Something is in that room with me,” he wrote in a post on X (formerly Twitter).
