Apple has officially announced the launch event for its highly anticipated iPhone 16 series, set to take place on September 9, 2024. After months of speculation, Apple has confirmed the release of its latest smartphones, with the event being livestreamed globally, including in India at 10:30 PM.
This year’s launch will include four models: iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max. While the standard models will feature incremental upgrades such as a new chipset, a bigger battery, and a redesigned camera layout, the Pro models are expected to deliver significant enhancements, including major camera upgrades, a slimmer design, larger displays with minimal bezels, and the latest chipset.
In a move that has piqued curiosity, Apple has shared a teaser with the cryptic message, “It is Glowtime,” hinting at potential surprises during the event. The standard and Plus models are rumored to retain existing displays and camera setups, while the Pro models might see advancements in camera technology and overall design.
Alongside the iPhones, Apple is also expected to announce updates to its Apple Watch and AirPods lineup. Additionally, there are rumors of a follow-up event in October, where new Macs could be unveiled.
The iPhone 16 series is expected to start at $799, with higher models reaching up to $1,199. Indian prices will be slightly higher due to local factors.
