Jack Black and Paul Rudd in Talks for New ‘Anaconda’ Film at Sony Pictures
Hollywood icons Jack Black and Paul Rudd are in early negotiations to star in a new ‘Anaconda’ film, marking an exciting potential revival of the 1997 cult classic. The project, currently in development at Sony Pictures, has already begun generating considerable buzz within the industry.
The new take on Anaconda is being crafted by Tom Gormican and Kevin Etten, the creative minds behind the hit film The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent. Gormican, who is also attached to direct, brings a fresh vision to this thrilling jungle adventure. The film will be produced by Brad Fuller and Andrew Form under their Fully Formed production banner, further heightening expectations for the project.
While no official casting deals have been confirmed, sources close to the project have revealed that both Black and Rudd are keen on taking on key roles in the film. The original Anaconda, released in 1997, starred Jennifer Lopez, Jon Voight, Owen Wilson, and Ice Cube.
