The Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) 2024 will conclude its 15th edition with the much-anticipated Australian premiere of Girls Will Be Girls, a film produced by Ali Fazal and Richa Chadha. The film, which has garnered widespread critical acclaim on international platforms, will be the closing feature on August 25, marking a grand finale to the festival’s celebrations that began on August 15.
Girls Will Be Girls has captivated global audiences with its compelling narrative and exceptional performances. The film made its world premiere at the prestigious Sundance International Film Festival, where it received rave reviews, securing two top honors. Following this, it showcased at Cannes, Sundance London, and won grand jury prizes at the Transylvania International Film Festival in Romania, the Biarritz Film Festival in France, and IFFLA in Los Angeles.
