Javed Akhtar Opens Up About Struggles and Triumphs in ‘Angry Young Men’

In a deeply emotional segment of the newly released docu-series ‘Angry Young Men,’ renowned writer and lyricist Javed Akhtar reflects on his harrowing early days in Mumbai and his remarkable journey from deprivation to success. Akhtar candidly shares his experiences of severe hardship, revealing how he often went hungry and lived in dire conditions. Recalling his early struggles, Akhtar says, “I decided to come to Bombay with hopes of working as an assistant director.
