the postmortem report of the trainee doctor who was tragically raped and murdered at Kolkata.

In a shocking revelation, the postmortem report of the trainee doctor who was tragically raped and murdered at Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical College and Hospital has detailed the brutal nature of the crime. According to the four-page report, the victim was strangled, which led to the breaking of her thyroid cartilage, before being smothered to death. The report also described severe injuries, including a deep wound in her genital area caused by “perverted sexuality” and “genital torture.”

The attack, which occurred between 3 am and 5 am on August 9, left the victim with multiple injuries. She had wounds on her belly, lips, fingers, and left leg. The postmortem noted that her nose and mouth were clamped to muffle her screams, and her head was forcefully pushed into a wall or floor. Scratch marks on her face suggest a desperate struggle against her assailant.

Additionally, the victim was found bleeding from her eyes, mouth, and genital area, though the cause of the eye wounds remains unclear. Her body was discovered in a seminar room of the hospital on Friday morning.

Sanjoy Roy, a civic volunteer with Kolkata Police, has been arrested in connection with the crime. Roy, who had access to the hospital due to his position, was identified through CCTV footage showing him entering the building where the murder occurred. His arrest has triggered widespread outrage, leading to protests by doctors and nurses across Kolkata and other Indian cities. In response to the growing public anger, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has warned that the case will be handed over to the CBI if the Kolkata police fail to resolve it by Sunday.
