Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, along with his sons Aryan and AbRam, are set to voice key characters in Disney’s highly anticipated film, ‘Mufasa: The Lion King’. Directed by Academy Award winner Barry Jenkins, the film will be released in India on December 20, 2024, in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.

This marks a unique collaboration for the Khan family, with Shah Rukh Khan voicing Mufasa, Aryan Khan as Simba, and AbRam Khan as Young Mufasa. The trio had previously voiced Mufasa and Simba in an earlier adaptation, making this return highly anticipated.

Shah Rukh Khan shared his excitement, saying, “Mufasa’s legacy is unparalleled. As a father, I deeply resonate with the character and his journey. This collaboration is particularly special as I get to share this experience with my sons, Aryan and AbRam.”

Bikram Duggal, Head of Studios at Disney Star, added, “Mufasa is more than just a fictional character; he embodies a spirit that has inspired generations. Having Shah Rukh Khan, Aryan, and AbRam bring these iconic characters to life adds a unique depth to our family entertainer. We hope Indian audiences will enjoy this incredible story with their families.”

‘Mufasa: The Lion King’ blends live-action filmmaking with photoreal computer-generated imagery and features original songs by Lin-Manuel Miranda. The English version will feature voices from Aaron Pierre as Mufasa, Donald Glover as Simba, and Braelyn Rankins as Young Mufasa.
