BJP Criticizes Rahul Gandhi Over Hindenburg Remarks, Accuses Congress of Economic Sabotage

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) launched a fierce attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi following his recent comments on the latest Hindenburg report. The report, which raised concerns about the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) and its chief, has sparked significant political controversy.

Addressing the media, senior BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad accused the Congress and Rahul Gandhi of attempting to destabilize India’s financial markets. “The Hindenburg report came on Saturday, causing uproar on Sunday, and destabilizing the capital market on Monday,” Prasad remarked, suggesting that the timing of the report was suspicious.

The BJP leader further claimed that the Hindenburg report’s release was an attempt to undermine the Indian economy and accused Rahul Gandhi of harboring a “pathological hatred” towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He alleged that the Congress party is using a “toolkit” to spread misinformation and create economic unrest.

Prasad also suggested a larger conspiracy, implicating American billionaire George Soros as a significant investor in Hindenburg Research. He dismissed the Opposition’s calls for a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) inquiry into the matter as a “sham.”

BJP national spokesperson CR Kesavan also criticized Rahul Gandhi’s comments, likening them to “shady and deceitful underarm bowling” aimed at discrediting the stock market.

Rahul Gandhi had earlier questioned SEBI Chairperson Madhabi Puri Buch’s role and reiterated his demand for a JPC probe, implying that Prime Minister Modi’s reluctance stemmed from fear.

The BJP has firmly rejected these allegations, accusing the Congress of attempting to sow economic chaos for political gain.
