Blake Lively Honors Britney Spears in Vintage Versace Gown at NYC Premiere of ‘It Ends With Us’
Blake Lively dazzled at the New York City premiere of her latest film, It Ends With Us, on August 6, wearing a vintage Versace gown originally donned by Britney Spears in 2002. The iconic dress, celebrated for its floral embellishments and multicolored sequined pattern, was a highlight of the evening.
Lively expressed her excitement about wearing the dress, telling PEOPLE, “It is Britney’s actual dress. It should be in the Smithsonian or the Met. But it’s on me. I feel so lucky!” The gown featured a one-shoulder halter neckline and a cutout bodice, complementing Lively’s look with accessories from Lorraine Schwartz. Her vibrant pink and pastel blue rings and dangle earrings, paired with iridescent strappy heels, highlighted the dress’s hues. Lively’s makeup, with soft pink eyeshadow and matte lipstick, and her long blonde hair styled in loose waves, perfectly matched the vintage aesthetic.
Accompanying Lively on the red carpet was her husband, Ryan Reynolds, in an olive green suit, and Hugh Jackman, co-star of Reynolds’ “Deadpool” and “Wolverine” films. Since starting the promotional tour for It Ends With Us, Lively has embraced a floral fashion theme, aligning with her character’s style in Colleen Hoover’s book adaptation. With the film’s release on August 9, Lively’s floral-inspired wardrobe continues to captivate fans and keep the trend blooming.
