Actor Taapsee Pannu recently showcased her humorous side with a witty comment on her husband Mathias Boe’s retirement announcement. Boe, who coached Indian badminton players Chirag Shetty and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy, announced his retirement following the duo’s exit from the Paris Olympics 2024.
In an emotional Instagram post, Mathias Boe expressed his gratitude towards his players and colleagues, and reflected on his decision to step back from coaching. He wrote, “For me, my coaching days end here. I’m not going to continue in India or anywhere else, for now at least. I have spent too much time in a badminton hall and it’s also pretty stressful to be a coach, I’m a tired old man. I want to thank @media.iccsai, Garg Sir and Rakesh Sir, @bai_media, @gosportsvoices for the support over the years. Also a huge shout out to all my colleagues in Indian Badminton. Thank you for a lot of good memories and I wish you all the best. Jai Hind.”
In response, Taapsee Pannu left a light-hearted comment on his post, saying, “But also now you are a married man. You need to take a step back. I need to come back home from work every day to ready dinner and cleaning in order. So chop chop!”
Taapsee and Mathias dated for over a decade before tying the knot in March 2024. In a previous interview, Taapsee shared her reasons for their long-lasting relationship, stating, “I had to kiss many frogs before I reached the prince. But eventually, when I grew up and started working, it’s been the same man and that’s because he’s a man, not a boy. And that is a huge difference.”
The couple’s playful interaction highlights their strong bond and mutual respect, providing fans a glimpse into their personal lives.
