Indian Contingent Gears Up for Crucial Day 11 at Paris Olympics 2024

As the Paris Olympics 2024 enters its 11th day, the Indian contingent is set for a day of high-stakes competition featuring some of the nation’s top athletes. After a heart-wrenching Day 10 where medal hopes for Lakshya Sen and the shooting duo of Maheshwari Chauhan and Anantjeet Singh fell just short, Day 11 offers new opportunities for glory.

Neeraj Chopra, India’s star javelin thrower, will be in action in the Men’s Javelin Throw Qualification Group B at 3:20 PM. All eyes will be on Neeraj as he aims to defend his Olympic crown.

Kishore Kumar Jena, another javelin thrower, will compete in Group A at 1:50 PM. Jena, the 28-year-old dark horse, is poised to push the limits and potentially secure a spot alongside Neeraj in the finals.

Vinesh Phogat, the celebrated wrestler, will take to the mat in the Women’s Freestyle 50 kg category, starting with the Round of 16 at 3:00 PM. Should she advance, Vinesh will also compete in the quarterfinals at 4:20 PM and potentially the semi-finals at 10:25 PM.

PR Sreejesh, the veteran goalkeeper, will lead the Indian men’s hockey team against World Champions Germany in the semi-final at 10:30 PM. Sreejesh’s exceptional performance has been pivotal in India’s journey so far.

The schedule also includes matches in Table Tennis with Harmeet Desai, Manav Vikash Thakkar, and Sharath Kamal competing in the Men’s Team Round of 16 at 1:30 PM. Kiran Pahal will race in the Women’s 400 metre (Repechage Round) at 2:50 PM.

With the potential for multiple medals, Day 11 promises to be a defining moment for India at the Paris Olympics 2024.
