Netflix is set to release its highly anticipated thriller, ‘CTRL’, directed by the acclaimed Vikramaditya Motwane, on October 5. Starring Ananya Panday as Nella Awasthi and Vihaan Samat as Joe Mascarenhas, ‘CTRL’ delves into the dark side of technology and social media dependency.
The film, which promises to break away from traditional storytelling, follows Nella and Joe, a couple known for their popular social media content. However, after their breakup, their digital world takes a sinister turn, forcing viewers to question how much control they truly have over their technology-driven lives.
Ananya Panday expressed her excitement about the project, stating, “CTRL is engaging, impactful, and makes you wonder if you are truly in control of your life. Given the exponential advancement in tech and our rising dependency on it, this film is for everyone. What better platform to reach the audience with a narrative as compelling as CTRL than Netflix?”
Director Vikramaditya Motwane added, “With the amount of time we spend on our devices, screen time is now redefined as screen life! ‘CTRL’ explores whether we control our digital lives or if we are being controlled. For a concept as new-age as this, we needed a cast who lives such a life and a medium like Netflix that’s relevant.”
The first look of ‘CTRL’ was unveiled on Netflix India’s official Instagram, generating significant buzz with its thought-provoking teaser. The film aims to offer a glimpse into a future that may be closer than we imagine.
‘CTRL’ will begin streaming on Netflix from October 5, promising to captivate and challenge audiences worldwide.
