July 26, 2024 – Mumbai, India
A triplex apartment in the building that once housed the iconic Bandra bungalow of legendary actor Dilip Kumar has been sold for ₹155 crore. The 9,527.21 sq ft triplex, spanning the 9th, 10th, and 11th floors, was purchased by Apco Infratech Private Limited from Blackrock.
According to real estate portal SquareFeatIndia.com, the property’s sale price translates to approximately ₹1.62 lakh per sq ft. The transaction also involved a significant stamp duty payment of ₹9.30 crore.
This sale follows a deal last year between Dilip Kumar’s family and the Ashar Group to develop a luxury residential project on the Pali Hill plot, formerly the site of the esteemed actor’s bungalow. The new project will feature not only high-end residential apartments but also a museum dedicated to Dilip Kumar’s illustrious career. The museum, located on the ground floor of the tower, will honor the actor’s legacy with a dedicated entrance to facilitate visitor access.
The triplex’s sale marks a significant milestone in Mumbai’s luxury real estate market, reflecting both the enduring legacy of Dilip Kumar and the ongoing development of prime properties in the city.
