Zendaya’s recent appearances in Ralph Lauren at The Championships, Wimbledon, have proven highly successful, generating a significant media impact value (MIV) of $3.6 million for the iconic American brand. According to Launchmetrics, her presence at the event, alongside other celebrities in the Polo Ralph Lauren suite, created substantial media exposure.

Zendaya, a prominent actress and style icon, was seen supporting the tennis tournament, further elevating the visibility of Ralph Lauren’s tailored pieces. The brand, an official sponsor and outfitter of Wimbledon since 2006, dresses all chair umpires, line umpires, ball persons, and grounds people at the event.

In 2024, Ralph Lauren invited a host of celebrities, including Pierce Brosnan, Leo Woodall, Tom Hiddleston, Glenn Close, and Robin Wright, to enjoy the tournament while showcasing its latest designs. Collectively, these efforts generated a total of $18.7 million in MIV, with Zendaya’s appearances being the most valuable.

Zendaya’s collaboration with Ralph Lauren has intensified this year. In April, she wore a vintage Ralph Lauren tennis dress, originally modeled by Cindy Crawford in 1992, during a photo call for her latest movie, “Challengers.”

As an ambassador for On Running, Zendaya also represents luxury brands Louis Vuitton and Bulgari, reinforcing her status as a global fashion influencer.

Other luxury brands also saw gains in media exposure at Wimbledon. Gucci garnered $4.8 million in MIV, while Rolex received $4.1 million. This year’s event culminated on July 14, with Kate Middleton presenting the winner’s trophy to Carlos Alcaraz of Spain after his victory in the Men’s Singles Final. Middleton’s purple dress by British brand Safiyaa generated $4.8 million in media exposure.

Overall, Wimbledon 2024 generated an impressive $873.1 million in MIV, solidifying its status as a premier global sporting event.
