Legendary former India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni celebrated his 43rd birthday with Bollywood icon Salman Khan in Mumbai. A viral video captured Dhoni cutting his birthday cake in the early hours of July 7, with Salman Khan and Dhoni’s wife, Sakshi, by his side. The celebration took place as Dhoni and Sakshi attended the Sangeet celebrations of Mukesh Ambani’s son, Anant Ambani.
Salman Khan took to social media to wish Dhoni, tweeting, “Happy Birthday Kaptaan Sahab!” with a picture from the celebration. Dhoni also received a video call from Ruturaj Gaikwad, the current Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain, who took a break from his Zimbabwe tour with Team India to extend his wishes. Mukesh Kumar and Tushar Deshpande, Gaikwad’s teammates and fellow CSK players, joined the call.
Dhoni, sporting a new shorter haircut shared by stylist Aalim Hakim, looked delighted during the festivities. The former captain shares his birthday month with other cricket legends, including Sourav Ganguly on July 8 and Sunil Gavaskar on July 10.
