A Maharashtra Police chargesheet has revealed that gangster Lawrence Bishnoi issued a ₹25 lakh contract to assassinate Bollywood actor Salman Khan. The plot, uncovered between August 2023 and April 2024, involved acquiring advanced firearms from Pakistan, including AK-47s and Zigana pistols, the latter used in the 2022 murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala.
On April 14, two men linked to Bishnoi fired shots outside Khan’s Bandra residence. The chargesheet details an extensive surveillance operation involving 60-70 individuals tracking Khan’s movements. Minors, directed by Goldy Brar and Anmol Bishnoi, were used for reconnaissance. Communication within the gang was coordinated via a WhatsApp group with 15-16 members, including Brar and Anmol.
An audio recording from one arrested suspect matched Anmol Bishnoi’s voice, indicating his pivotal role in the attack. The police have recorded statements from Salman Khan and his brother Arbaaz in connection with the case.
