Arshdeep Singh Credits Jasprit Bumrah for Bowling Success

The pinpoint accuracy of Jasprit Bumrah allows other bowlers in the Indian team to go for wickets even in high-pressure situations, said pacer Arshdeep Singh. The 25-year-old left-arm pacer, among the leading wicket-takers in the T20 World Cup with 15 scalps, praised Bumrah’s economy rate of 4.08 runs per over.

“Bumrah puts a lot of pressure on the batters. They take more risks against me, increasing my chances of taking wickets. A lot of credit goes to him,” Arshdeep said after India’s 24-run win over Australia.

Spinner Kuldeep Yadav, who took seven wickets in three games, was also crucial. “Kuldeep is a champion spinner,” Arshdeep added.

Australia’s best bowler on the day, Josh Hazlewood, acknowledged the impact of Kuldeep and Bumrah, stating their overs proved the difference.

India faces England in the second semi-final on Thursday, carrying the memory of last edition’s semifinal loss. “We’ll see what conditions are there and how we can do our best,” Arshdeep said.
