Amidst the fallout from alleged irregularities in the NEET-UG 2024 results, details of Anurag Yadav’s scorecard, a key figure in the paper leak case, have surfaced. According to reports, Anurag obtained 185 marks out of 720, translating to a total percentile score of 54.84%. Notably, his performance across individual subjects reveals stark inconsistencies: Anurag achieved an 85.8 percentile in Physics, 51 percentile in Biology, but remarkably only 5 percentile in Chemistry.

Anurag Yadav, 22, hailing from Samastipur, Bihar, was arrested after confessing to receiving the leaked NEET question paper from his uncle, who assured him of exam arrangements a day before the test. Anurag’s uncle, Sikandar Prasad Yadavendu, an engineer based in Bihar, allegedly provided him with the question paper and instructed him to memorize the answers.

The controversy deepens with reports of other students involved in the case, where one scored 300 marks with varying percentiles in different subjects, raising further questions about the integrity of the examination process.

The NEET-UG 2024 results have sparked widespread protests among medical aspirants, questioning the fairness of the evaluation process, especially in light of some candidates achieving perfect scores of 720 marks. Authorities are under scrutiny to address the concerns and ensure transparency in future examinations.

The unfolding scandal underscores the challenges in maintaining the credibility of one of India’s most competitive entrance exams, crucial for admissions to medical colleges across the country.
