Allahabad HC Dismisses NEET Aspirant’s Plea Over Alleged Torn OMR Sheet

The Allahabad High Court dismissed a writ petition by NEET aspirant Ayushi Patel, who alleged the National Testing Agency (NTA) failed to declare her results due to a torn OMR sheet. Patel demanded a manual evaluation and action against the NTA, claiming to have received communication about her torn sheet.

However, the Lucknow bench found Patel’s documents forged, terming it a “really sorry state of affairs.” The court noted the NTA’s original records showed her paper was intact, and her claims were false.

NTA’s Deputy Director, Sandeep Sharma, presented the original documents, and the court confirmed potential legal actions against Patel. The court ruled the NTA is free to pursue legal action, emphasizing the seriousness of submitting forged documents in a petition. This decision follows widespread protests over alleged irregularities in NEET UG 2024 results.
