Multiple airports in India faced bomb threats recently, escalating security concerns nationwide. The Patna Airport and Vadodara Airport received threatening emails on Tuesday, prompting swift security measures. At Patna’s Jayprakash Narayan International Airport, authorities responded immediately to the email threat received by the airport director around 1:10 pm, intensifying security protocols.
Similarly, Vadodara Airport in Gujarat also received a bomb threat via email earlier in the day, leading to heightened security and police involvement. Investigations, including cybercrime units tracing the email sources, have been launched to apprehend the culprits behind these threats.
These incidents follow a pattern of hoax bomb threats impacting Indian aviation. Recently, a Dubai-bound flight from Chennai faced significant delays after a similar threat. Security agencies conducted thorough checks, ensuring passenger safety amid rising concerns over such malicious activities.
Furthermore, Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport also encountered a bomb threat targeting a flight to Dubai on Monday, underscoring the seriousness of these incidents. Earlier, several museums in Delhi were targeted with bogus bomb threats via emails, highlighting a broader trend of security challenges faced by public spaces.
Authorities remain vigilant as they work to safeguard airports and public facilities against potential threats, emphasizing the need for robust security measures and swift response protocols in such critical situations.
