Six Security Personnel Injured in Doda Terror Attack, Operation Ongoing
In a recent terror attack, five soldiers and a special police officer were injured during an exchange of fire with terrorists at a joint checkpost in Doda district, Jammu and Kashmir. The attack took place in the Chattergalla area on the Bhadarwah-Pathankot road, officials reported on Wednesday. The injured personnel are currently receiving treatment at a hospital, and the gunfight continues as additional security forces have been deployed to intensify the operation.
This incident marks the third terror attack in three days in Jammu, following recent attacks in Kathua and Reasi. In Kathua, security forces are actively engaged in tracking down a terrorist in Saida Sukhal village, within the Hiranagar police station limits. The ongoing operation has resulted in the death of a suspected Pakistani terrorist who attacked a village near the International Border, injuring a civilian. The police, with the assistance of the CRPF, have cordoned off the area and are conducting house-to-house searches. These attacks appear to be an attempt to disrupt the upcoming Amarnath Yatra, prompting heightened security measures across the region. Union Minister Jitendra Singh has confirmed ongoing joint police and paramilitary operations, with one terrorist neutralized so far.
