Aishwarya Arjun, daughter of actor Arjun Sarja, and Umapathy Ramaiah, son of actor-director Thambi Ramaiah, have exchanged vows in a heartwarming ceremony held in Chennai on June 10. The couple, who had been dating for several years, celebrated their union in an intimate affair at Anjanasuta Sri Yoganjaneyaswamy Mandir.
The festivities commenced on June 7 with traditional pre-wedding rituals including haldi, mehendi, and sangeet, hosted at Arjun’s residence in Chennai. Aishwarya dazzled in a white kurta for the haldi ceremony and donned a vibrant yellow outfit for the mehendi, while Umapathy looked dashing in a black sherwani.
Their wedding ceremony, held between 9-10 am, was filled with joyous moments captured in playful pictures shared by the couple on Instagram. Aishwarya looked resplendent in a traditional red and gold pattu saree, while Umapathy complemented her in an ivory dhoti set.
The couple’s love story began on the reality show “Survivor Tamil” in 2021, where they met, hosted by Aishwarya’s father, Arjun. After a period of courtship, they got engaged in a private ceremony on October 28, 2023.
Following their nuptials, Aishwarya and Umapathy are set to host a grand wedding reception at Leela Palace on June 14, where friends, family, and fellow celebrities are expected to join in the celebrations.
Aishwarya, known for her roles in films like “Pattathu Yaanai” and “Prema Baraha,” has charmed audiences with her talent, while Umapathy, with his debut in “Adhagappattathu Magajanangalay” and subsequent roles, has carved his own niche in the industry.
