Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has reiterated the state government’s commitment to ensuring an uninterrupted supply of ration to beneficiaries under the Ghar Ghar Ration Yojana. Chairing a review meeting on Friday, Mann addressed misleading rumors allegedly spread by individuals with vested political interests, which claimed that the state government had drastically reduced ration allocations. He assured that these rumors are baseless and emphasized that all beneficiaries are receiving full support under the scheme.
The Chief Minister highlighted that 1.54 crore beneficiaries are being served through 40.19 lakh ration cards in Punjab. He emphasized that this service aims to provide nutritious food while saving beneficiaries’ time, money, and energy by distributing ration close to their homes. Mann announced that this initiative marks a new era in the state, ensuring the efficient provision of essential commodities to the public.
The Chief Minister had previously requested detailed reports from all Deputy Commissioners in the state to ensure the scheme’s benefits reach all intended recipients. Mann expressed pride in Punjab’s model of distributing ration through established Fair Price Shops, which serves as an exemplary system for other states to follow.
The Ghar Ghar Ration Yojana not only ensures food security but also enhances the quality of life for many by making the distribution process more accessible and efficient. Mann’s administration remains steadfast in its mission to support the 1.54 crore beneficiaries, reinforcing the government’s dedication to social welfare and public service amidst attempts to undermine its efforts with false claims.
